Mr. Kho read law at University of Northumbria, Newcastle and graduated with LLB in 2004. Thereafter, he furthered his studies and obtained his MBA qualification in 2009.

He started his pupillage with Messrs Naqiz & Partners and was exposed to various corporate and commercial exercises for, amongst others, Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB), Perusahaan Otomobil Nasional Berhad (PROTON), Penang Port, Managepay System Berhad, Selia Group, Searie.

Mr. Kho was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2013.

Afterwards, in 2014 to 2015 he joined Messrs TJ Khoo & Co. as a Legal Associate and was practicing in general civil litigation and Conveyancing matters. Thereafter, he joined Messrs Teoh Pei Wei Advocates & Solicitors in 2015 to 2019 as a Senior Associate – Head of Project Department and is also mainly handling Developers’ projects.

Mr. Kho also has been appointed to attend 10th Overseas Property & Immigration & Investment Exhibition in 2015 and 8th Shanghai International Luxury Property Show in 2015 at Shanghai International convention Center as a legal representative for the projects: Grand Global Medini Sdn Bhd – “Grand Medini Lifestyle Residence” and Tropicana Corporation Berhad – Tropicana Residences Sdn Bhd – “The Residences”.

In 2019 to 2020 Mr. Kho was attached to Messrs SP Hew & Khoo (formerly known as Messrs SP Hew & Co.) as Senior Associate – Head of Project Department to monitor, manage and improve the project team Standard Operation Procedure (“SOP”), observing the staff performance of the team, to assign and allocate task for lawyers and clerks and provide legal opinion to the team.

In 2020 to 2022 Mr. Kho was under employment of Aset Kayamas Sdn. Bhd. as a Legal Advisor to provide amongst others, legal opinion to various departments, vetting, drafting and reviewing contracts, appointment of law firm to participate in respective project, preparing and attending to Strata Management Tribunal and Home Buyer Tribunal matters. Afterwards he decided to continue his practice and joined Leong & Co. as a partner.

Throughout these years of practice, Mr. Kho has covered areas of law which include Commercial Law, Law relating to Property, Banking and Corporate Finance, Contract and many others. Mr. Kho has gained considerable exposure to all forms of civil litigation with emphasis on recoveries, probate and letter of administration and also provided advice/opinions on various general legal issues.

Mr. Kho has been exposed to and gained vast experience in many aspects of general conveyancing area, including Sale and Purchase Agreement, Development Project, Tenancy Agreement, Deed of Assignment, Receipt and Reassignment, Discharge of Charge, foreign investment in Malaysia, property purchased through foreclosure proceedings and other relevant documentations to effect the Transfer of properties. Mr. Kho has vast experience in the area of banking which he has acted for the financial institutions in handling the Charge Documentation, Loan Agreement cum Assignment, Refinancing and advise on different Islamic Finance’s products and facilities (eg: Bai ‘Bithaman Ajil, Commodity Murabahah, Musharakah Mutanaqisah, etc).
